Preparation for Paramedic Graduate Scenario Summative Exam

All P2 students: Please be SURE you read the LOCK email I send to you thoroughly when you are locked into your Paramedic Graduate Scenario Summative Exam with the Medical Director. We have had more and more potential grads showing up for the exam unprepared and wasting their time and the Doctor’s time. WATCH all of those videos. LOOK at the gradesheet that is attached to see how you will be graded. Go back and REVIEW all the lines and waveforms in ECG strip interpretation and be prepared to read 3 and 12 lead ECG strips and interpret them correctly. MEMORIZE your ACLS, PALS and PHTLS algorhythms and steps and all the treatments (including drug dosages) and when you do what. Review your RSI/PAI steps, drugs, dosages, indications, contraindications etc. Make sure you can verbalize how step by step to do important skills like intubation, chest decompression, etc. KNOW how to calculate a Glasgow Coma Scale. Be able to verbalize a COMPLETE, THOROUGH, APPROPRIATE patient assessment (primary, secondary, and ongoing) on EVERY patient. If you have not done these things, you are not ready and you will not pass the exam. PLEASE do not ask to schedule until you are PREPARED. Thank you.
